Packaging Requirements

Transparent Packaging

• Items must be sealed in a transparent, clear zip-lock bag.
• Non-transparent or covered packaging is not accepted.

Oily / Liquid Products

• Packages containing fish paste or sauce must be packed to prevent leakage.
• If necessary, they must be double-packed in an airtight bag to prevent leaks.
• The name of the item must be labeled on the package.

Acceptable Items with Restrictions

• Electrical Appliances (subject to weight and size restrictions): Phones, laptops, rice cookers, noodle boilers, small electrical appliances, and charging cables.
• Health Supplements (approved by the Food and Drug Commission): Labeled/certified health supplements, household medicines, and Myanmar traditional medicines.
• Cosmetics and Personal Care Items: Labeled/certified lotions, hair oils, and facial creams.

Strictly Prohibited Items

• Powdered and Liquid Foods: MSG powder (monosodium glutamate) and cooked foods in liquid form.
• Flammable / Dangerous Goods: Flammable/explosive materials, chemicals, acids, and gas sprays.
• Restricted Medicines without a Doctor's Prescription: Medications such as sleeping pills and emergency contraceptives.
• Tobacco and Narcotics: Cigarettes, betel quid, products made from tobacco, and narcotics.
• Cooked Curries and Frozen Meats: Perishable wet curries made with beef, chicken, pork, mutton, or seafood that are susceptible to mold.
